Make Buyers Bite
Lobby: Even if your house has a small lobby, have it clean with a bright carpet with a vase in the corner. Even if your house doesn't have an entryway, create one. Most buyers don't like to walk into the living room from the front door.
Floor: Most common used flooring are tiles in India, take some time off to get them polished or replace broken one's. The first sight of people entering the house is on the floor. Make sure you impress.
Fixtures: Bathroom fixtures tend to look pale due to high content of salt in the water. Try to replace or polish taps and other fixtures to make them look clean. This goes with door and cabinet knobs too, its cheaper to replace them which visually makes a big impact.
Lights: Lighting is probably the most overlooked, yet the most important aspect of interior decoration. If your home doesn't get enough natural light, make sure you get it straight by installing new or replacing existing fixtures.
Countertop: Impress the lady, replace the kitchen granite countertop and it elevates even a small kitchen to look beautiful. This could cost a few thousands rupees but it's definitely a must.
Steel: Polishing steel appliances to sparkle is a good idea. A kitchen with stainless steel appliances looks like a commercial kitchen. It makes people think they are great.
Price: The sale price of a home is a primary factor in its sale. Potential buyers and agents will evaluate homes based on its sale price. The sale price is usually the primary concern of each home buyer.
